Sleepless Night

A nap after supper Sunday led to a sleepless night of tossing and turning while being pulled and pushed in unexpected directions by my characters. One really annoyed me. I got up and hit the keyboard at 12:30 am. Happy to say come 2:33 am one character’s flaws had been reinforced and the angels pictured in our home’s bay window would not condone his reinforced flaws. However along with our angel we pass along our wishes for your personal safety, good health and personal success in the new year on our doorsteps 2022. Happy New Years.

A Writing Break

On Boxing Day 2021 I’m taking a break from working on my ‘Seaside Glitter’ sequel. Tried but just couldn’t find a redeeming grace to add to the character of Barney. Gave up on pondering whether he should be meeting his end but his nastiness added to the storylines. Hence took a break and reflected on the painting of Dories I completed at a painting workshop last year or was it earlier? Must have been Covid-19 has definitelt curtailed our social outings. However Thanks to the great work of our sister-in-law Heather at 4 Roses Framing in Fall River Nova Scotia I had the painting framed and it became a Christmas gift to out daugther in Ottawa. Not a real masterpiece but a piece of creativity I had fun working through. Thanks Heather. l look forward to seeing it hanging on a wall in Ottawa once travel becomes a safe option. Meanwhile I’d best get back to writing. If I cannot add grace to Barney perhaps a little nastiness will be the order of the day. Have a great day and stay safe. Sure glad we both got our booster vacine shots. Hope you got yours. If you’ve read ‘Seaside Glitter’ a review at an online bookstore would be appreciated.
