A Unique Inspiration to my Writing

I called out to our granddaughters for tips and hints to energize my writing. Tell me about the funny, dumb and ‘oh no’ things your cats Sadie and Willow do. Also describe looks and expressions they’ve sent your way. Also share any memories recalled of a true charmer out of the past AKA Bailey. I had reconnected with a unique inspiration to my writing. AKA Bailey, our daughter’s kitty cat who many of you met in ‘Seaside Glitter’. I thank our granddaughters and their Mom heartily. Their Mom also sent along a few bonus tips and memories out of Bailey’s past. Rest assured Bailey is back in the sequel my second book. This innocent photo is of a youthful Bailey just setting out and eager to push … test the life’s limits, one life at a time. Bailey is the charmer on the right. His companion is Cleo, who partnered up with Bailey, because our daughter believed Bailey needed a companion. If left home alone the poor soul would feel lost and lonely. Not likely. Bailey over the years has been an inspiration and continues to add energy to my writing. Gaze into those bright wonderous inspirational eyes. Blink and he’ll pull off another fast one on you.

A Popped Up Memory to Share.

On this snowy January day my writing stopped on hearing a joyful shout from above … upstairs. It was my Elsie’s shout. I quickly learned it was a shout of joy. A cousin or is it a double cousin B for Bev found and sent along a youthful photo of my Elsie. She’s always stated I’ll not go back to the farm. I would always nod and agree. Seeing this photo of my E it quickly sank in, a fact she’d never laid claim to; I married an amazing man’s daughter … a Farmer’s Daughter. How lucky can you get. Now when my Lady comments on my driving, I’ll listen a little more intently. Her driving experiences go back way beyond my first day behind the wheel. An added bonus, another nugget and storyline has been added to my growing array of creative fictionsl maybe, could be and someday will be adventures to be added to a yet to be penned fictional tale. Meanwhile I’d best get back to my writing.

Happy New Years 2020

Happy New Years 2020. Stopping by to pass along New Years Greetings and to share a tid-bit of the travels unraveling via my keyboard. Those who have read my novel Seaside Glitter have been asking for a sequel. I have been listening. I’ve also been writing off and on. Through December 2019 daily sessions have proven fruitful. It’s been suggested that I let an occasional cat out of the bag. If the names John, Richard, Lyndsey ring a bell. Then here’s a first peek into my keyboard’s travels.

Chapter _______

John accepted the keys to Richard’s SUV. He attempted one last sales pitch on the benefits of flying to one’s destination. “You’ll be cooped together in a wheeled sardine can over 24 hours. It’ll be agony beyo…”
“It’ll be delightful. It will give us time to focus on life’s joys.” Lyndsey hugged Richard.
John accepted the answer written on the faces of Richard and Lyndsey. Overhead the boarding announcement…
