Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia’s Father Christmas Festival … a Great time by the Seaside today.

Elsie and I enjoyed a fun time in Mahone Bay today. The seaside breezes were energizing. Yes! We visited the Lahave Bakery. The temptation called out too me and could not be refused. The town, its merchants and friendly faces of residents and visitors was refreshing. The Festival team has created a welcoming array of festivities and colourful displays. Enjoyed volunteering at the One Size Fits All Art Workshop at the Community Center. A great day shared with many by the seaside. Mahone Bay, NS ‘Father Christmas Festival’ One Size Fits All … Art Sale.

I love the sea its feel, taste along with its sometimes gentle sea breezes that enrich our lives in the Maritimes and Atlantic Canada. The Town of Mahone Bay is a special place that I can never visit often enough. In a new twist to my creative side I’ve entered two 6X6 paintings in this year’s ‘One Size Fits All Art Sale’. See the attached poster. You’re invited to visit Mahone Bay during their ‘Father Christmas Festival’. Perhaps we’ll bump into each other while in town. I’ll be at the town’s community center volunteering on Saturday November 30th and Sunday December 8th in the afternoons. May arrive early and visit a favorite hang out the LaHave Bakery Shop. It’s 4 AM I can’t Sleep.

It’s 4 AM I can’t sleep. I believe I’ll blame the fun time shared at our Bedford Authors and Writers meeting Wednesday evening. Sarah and Michael’s reading along with the lively reviews that followed ignited the creative side of my brain. Yes I’m a Lefty and survived the effort to correct my youthful ways. Rather than disturb another enjoying a peaceful night of sleep, I arose and fired up my trusty laptop. Christmas must be on the horizon. My photo shared is a view from our Quarterdeck Resort cottage of Christmas 2018 and our 50th anniversary shared with family. Think I need a quick visit to a Seaside and a taste of its creative energies. Meanwhile I’ll close out and play a bit with my sequel to ‘Seaside Glitter’. Just not ready to turn off the lights!
