Thanks go out to Allen Nauss for a photo of East River that reignites memories of a great summer shared on the waters of East River, East Bay and Mahone Bay. A spring visit to Newmarket set Seaside Glitter on its path towards its publication. I recall many a day aboard our boat Misty Rose out on East River committing my thoughts to paper. Dad passed on that summer. The first to call me a writer, he encouraged me to step beyond the short story and write a novel. Thanks also to Allen and Eugette for being there back in the summer of 97.
