Mahone Bay and Bay of Fundy Swimming Companions

In reading the latest updates on the swimming companions sharing the waters of Mahone Bay and the Bay of Fundy, I will politely opt to view these glittering waters from the safety of shore. One reporter referred to these companions as endangered. That could be a fact. However unlike my brother Steve, I’ll opt to let the two great white sharks visiting our waters enjoy a safe and pleasant visit while they tour the Maritimes.

Hugs and blessing to our June

Spent yesterday with our niece Jen and her hubby Peter, along with my Elsie exploring and sharing East River Bay , Mahone Bay, Chester and Lunenburg. Sharing the locals that inspired my writings. It was a great time shared. However before I share the good-times we shared, I must first send along hugs, blessings and words of encouragement for a speedy recovery to my cousin June. Rest up young lady next photo I trust will have your natural charm and radiance shining though. Love Wayne

Recalling cursive writing lessons of old

Scanning over the growing number of scribbler’s jottings in my notebook, I cringe on seeing the clarity or lack of clarity of my pen’s notes. Can anyone out there also recall those school days from their past and cursive writing lessons. Oh how we strived to create perfect letters. I need only reread one of dear Noreen’s letters to see the penmanship of one who succeeded in creating perfect lettering well beyond those school days of old. Can anyone recall the snap-cracks of a teachers ruler during those classes. I can and do. Think I’d best slow down my jottings and add greater clarity to their form. I was and to this day remain a proud Lefty. Must confess I heard more snap-cracks of teachers rulers than most. Is it true cursive writing is no longer being taught in our classrooms of today?

Summer Fun

Is my retired status altered with published author status? I believe I will stick with a status of retired and published. Sitting on our back deck at the patio table letting my creative thoughts flow from pen tip to paper is definitely fun. At this point it’s all about storyline and creativity. Missing those commas, periods and other grammatical sticklers can wait for the editing stage. Besides at this time the warmth of the sun is focused on my creative side. Cheers … This great sunshine is calling out to me.

Summer Memories 2017

Facebook is great. However thought it best to share a few memories of our travels this summer. In mid July I found myself sailing aboard the Jolly Breeze out on Passamaquoddy Bay in the company of two shifty pirate characters. Claimed they were taking their Grampa out in search of whales rumoured to be in the waters about. I searched their painted faces but could not spot a hint of me wee ones. Perhaps a diversionary trip to Candy Land will reconnect me with the wee lasses? Either way the feel of the sea beneath a keel always triggers my creative side. Try it a whale of a tale could be in your future.
